Return & Refund Policy

At Murray River Mulch, we are committed to providing high-quality mulch and landscaping materials. Due to the nature of our products, returns and refunds are handled carefully and fairly.

1. No Change-of-Mind Returns

Please choose carefully before you buy.

Because mulch and landscaping materials are:

  • Bulky and heavy to transport,

  • Naturally variable in colour, texture, and moisture content, and

  • Organic products that may degrade over time,

we do not offer refunds or exchanges for change-of-mind purchases or if the product differs slightly from images online.

2. Damaged or Defective Products

If your product arrives:

  • Contaminated (e.g. with foreign matter not part of natural mulch),

  • Severely moldy or rotted upon delivery, or

  • Clearly incorrect (wrong product or quantity),

Please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

Include:

  • Your order number,

  • Photos showing the issue, and

  • A brief description of the problem.

We will review your request and, if approved, arrange one of the following:

  • A replacement delivery,

  • A partial or full refund

3. Order Cancellations

Orders can only be cancelled 24 hours before dispatch. Once your mulch is on the truck or has left our yard, cancellation is no longer possible due to the perishable and bulk nature of the product.

4. Delivery Issues

We are not responsible for:

  • Delays caused by third-party transport providers,

  • Inaccessible delivery sites,

  • Customer errors in the delivery address provided.

Please ensure someone is available to receive the delivery, and that the delivery location is accessible by truck unless organised prior to dispatch.

5. How Refunds Are Processed

If your refund is approved:

  • It will be processed back to your original method of payment.

  • You will receive a confirmation once the refund is issued.

  • Refunds typically take 3–10 business days to appear, depending on your bank.
